Expert Bureau Dr. Albert Hoch is newly founded in November 2014 in Postbauer-Heng in the Upper Palatinate, Bavaria. Pipe and manhole manufacturers, engineering contractors and engineering bureaus for underground projects have a reliable partner for structural verification and expertise of pipes, manholes and plastic construction parts. We offer special expertise in the area of static verification of pipes and manholes in the pressure zone of railway traffic loads.

Gap Closed

The structural evaluation of plastic construction parts is an exception. While authorized engineers and authorities are taking over the verification of static calculations and expertise in steelwork, solid building and timber work on one side, verification of pipes, manholes and plastic construction parts is left unregulated by building laws on the other side. There are no authorized verification engineers until now, a gap which is sealed by Expert Bureau Dr. Albert Hoch. The company’s focus lies on verification or making of static calculations of buried pipelines in open and trenchless installation method, rehabilitation of the sewers by relining (CIPP - cured in place pipes), pressure pipes, manholes and tanks (reservoirs).

The last occurs with the aid of so-called Finite Elements Method (FEM). The up-to-date state of the art is guaranteed through the collaboration of the Expert Bureau at making of the relevant Standards: DWA A127 (AG ES 5.5, Statics of buried pipes), DWA A 161 (AG ES 5.6, Static of jacking pipes), DWA A143-2 (AG ES 8.16, Static of sewer rehabilitation), DWA M127-3 (AG ES 5.7, Static of corrugated pipelines) and DWA A 127, Part 9 (AG ES 5.9, Static of manholes).

Expert Bureau attends to the software EasyPipe developed by IngSoft company. EasyPipe is also distributed by the DWA, German association for Water, Wastewater and Waste in Hennef, Germany. EasyPipe is probably the most frequently used program for static calculation of buried pipes and manholes. As one out of two nationwide authorized verification engineers by the EBA, Federal Railway Organization, offers Dr. Albert Hoch special expertise for verification of static calculations of pipes and manholes in the inner pressure area of railway loads. Furthermore, Expert Bureau offers design of pipes and manhole structures for dynamic stresses, e.g. seismic influence. Another field of activity is static of the construction above the ground level.
